ppl saying "this won't build the world's best doctor" are sorta missing the forest for the trees imo. what it'd technically build is the world's most insane medical nerd. interacting w such an entity wud have a remarkable effect on srs curious ppl, even if it's wrong sometimes

people who look for alpha amongst insane schizoid autists etc understand this. you have to sanitize and verify the outputs yourself, there's no outsourcing that but even if 1 in ~50 'uncharted' connections turn out to be legit, that will be gamechanging. maybe even 1 in 1000

@visakanv The problem is, if you find someone like this, they won't be able to communicate their ideas coherently. I think in Probability Manifolds. I feel like an oracle speaking for the gods. We have to test the spirits to be sure. 1 John 4:1-6https://t.co/k2iDW4CrGV

@visakanv A lot of people talk about hallucination as though it’s this terrible thing we should minimize in LLMs all of the time, but for the purpose of stoking the curiosity of people who know what makes sense, hallucinations can be a feature, not a bug. Cc @syncretizm

@visakanv I think Erik Hoel's post about more information and The Golden Age can be applied here. And my sense is that it's not just about more, but how we ask it questions and reason with what the LLM is telling us. So "world's best doctor" feels less relevant to me than med learner.
