at a "regenerative syntropical agriculture farm" that a rich person bought and invited all their friends to to try to create exciting new projects with and until i just ran into some indigenous people who just happened to be walking around, i just felt ungrounded

it was one thing to be really excited to share cacao ceremonies and ooh at the wild oranges and talk about how synergistic agriculture is like synergy for the world but it felt so... removed. i know they mean well, i just don't... it feels off

the indigenous women, they're just here listening to the water. they offer something to the land before taking something, as simple as a strand of hair or a drink of your water. they listen before they sing. there's an ease and animism i recognise https://t.co/5aJxaNh9vj

we had a familiarity with animals who lived there. there was a sense, this land was deeply shared. populated by intelligence far more numerous and other than our own. so when it came to spirits, it wasn’t so confusing. it wasn’t so absent
