can't force a flower to bloom. this isn't a commentary about love. this is a commentary about flowers

though it makes me wonder how many more "sayings" from nature won't just be metaphors. they'll be obvious https://t.co/sZK6rkL6JS

I thought this meme format was paradoxical until I spent more time in the woods and experienced it as a foundational pattern baked into nature. building a fire? well you’ll need enough airflow that the flame is fed but not so much that it is extinguished. ayyy lmao https://t.co/AXL50qLVEg

"can't force a flower to bloom" wasn't a even metaphor to me before. i didn't have any direct experience with the thing "can't force a flower to bloom" just meant the metaphor value directly. there was no ground the "mail" icon meant "email" directly, not "in analogy to mail"

they bloomed! maybe it was the sugar, or keeping them away from a cold draft they're gorgeous. idk if you've seen a lily with open eyes. they're unreal, one of nature's most sexual creations and to have two in my room? spaced far apart. it's a cozy dream, but it's just my room
