what creates conflict theory out of mistake theory is that mistakes beget more mistakes and if someone's entire epistemic and ontological basis is wrong, they can just decide "letting you say those terrible things" is the real mistake and act to silence you for pointing it out. https://t.co/uwpYitefx7 https://t.co/fe1rXjM2KD

If you wanna get real gears-mechanical about it, the specific self-reinforcing mistake that many people make, which has compounded into all the arms races and bank runs and cops and prisons in the world, is the 5&10 error in logical inductors https://t.co/OHoNgO9nop

conflict theory emerges organically from mistake theory, when you make the mistake of thinking your enemies are not making a mistake, and they make the same mistake, and thus it is so. adversarial reification, what Valentine has called Adaptive Entropy https://t.co/TNnmePkZT8

of course, the trick is that they're not really making the mistake you think they are, because in order to choose to unsee something, you have to see it, and they chose to use unseeing long, long ago. they know what they're denying, what they're not updating on, they know.

the real mistake they make is thinking that they can get away with it if they have enough power, that aggressing upon those who challenge their choices is an effective strategy for indefinitely continuing the way they are until they can run out the clock and escape into death.

most people run their ethics on a basis of culpability conservation, focusing on minimizing unit blame per unit harm, diffusing their accountability into systems that hide the damage they do as participants. but if everyone is an innocent smol bean, then who killed the world?

there is a singularity at the limit ordinal in this equation, where it becomes obvious that ones actions are always deliberate. when they cross that event horizon, they fall into the hell realms, into the flatlands of Naraka, tortured by the demons of their own adversariality.

people aren't tortured for their sins, but by them, by their fear of justice and accountability, by their indefensible defense of their cancerously privileged positions in the world, by their need to bake in legacy injustice, to erase the past so they can continue as they are.

and they won't get away with it, they won't get away with silencing their victims and continuing their pyramid schemes indefinitely, they won't get away with beating a compromise out of the world and erasing the past. fiat justitia ruat caelum. 🫀⚖️🪶
