@_brentbaum yup. short-term: coordination is a curly one... some need a longer explore phase (years) to unlearn old exploit patterns, some need months. Others can switch fairly readily between modes, when the context is salient and supportive. medium-term: rosy, I reckon. trend is friend.

having values lets you live out a narrative which gives you a unified sense of self which lets you leverage identity cognitive dissonance so it's easier to solve coordination problems across time! this couples utility functions across time the same way love does across people!!!
