For all it may do to ability to focus or whatnot, the habit of tweeting seems actually really good for mindfulness

You're living your life, thoughts and feeling arise, and there's your "oh i could tweet that" brain module ready to attend to them, expand and connect to a web of other thoughts and feelings that were previously noticed or tweeted*present and connectedhttps://t.co/dwImSq67GB

I feel like I get the same benefits from tweeting from this account as I do from yoga/going outside & touching grass/going to a conference: It gets me out of my head. It makes me feel embodiment. I am not on the sidelines watching. I am in the stream.

*not only by you but also by other thoughtful poasters! So its great for building wisdom as well, I realise that first hand now. The quick ooda loops, the fractal elaboration of concepts*epistemics go brrr*https://t.co/tPuF7Tsuqe

Conversations both give you new dots to connect and connect those dots. Bit like this image https://t.co/4js47Ll6Jm

All of this on top of the friendships, the memes, the exposition to weird and exotic stuff, the art, the projects and other bits and bobs that stem from hereI like twitter :)

@Tangrenin It honestly feels like one of the most loving things you can do another living thinking being: to bear witness to the workings of their mind. To really hear them. To spend the effort to understand someone's edifice of ideas and to add to it.

@Tangrenin I don't remember where I first encountered this, but it reminds me of this idea that in some languages, the greeting "hello" literally means "I see you" and the response is "I am here" and I think about this a lot. I think that's what a lot of us really need https://t.co/VVp1SNTQY1

@DefenderOfBasic Yes! ❤️‍🔥 To become a bearer of their flame and light it further along. As it reminds me of this riff:It's also a most loving act you can do to a culture, a lineage of scientist or artists, or humanity's spirit evenhttps://t.co/HG7VXRNRHj

I am never truly alone, for I have the light of human consciousness pulsing through my nerves. I am a verse in a song that echoes through millennia. I am Feynman and Archimedes, I am laughter and joy, curiosity and awe, discovery and delight ...anyway, support your local library https://t.co/PMs1hP0X4d

I think this has been the most surprisingly useful thing to just free-form writing thoughts: I tend to write things I am struggling to grapple with. It's OK to repeat yourself, similar patterns start to emerge. It's like you're orbiting slowly around a center of mass that you can't quite see, but can definitely feel. You will miss & overshoot but if you're willing to go around and around again you might get a little closer and closer. And there are real breakthroughs that happen here. We are learning. We feel better about ourselves. We take this with us into the real world

Friend hacked me into expanded awareness yesterday at a restaurant being: "Oh you're going to the toilets? there's something surprising, I'm not telling you, you'll get it"And I never formed so many detailed memories of a random restaurant bathroom
