@the_wilderless part of the issue here, i think, is that alcohol earns a certain level of trust by being extremely lindy. everyone knows what alcohol will and won’t do in what doses. if you show up to a party like “hey what if we all did phenibut instead” that might work if people trust you but

@the_wilderless if not it raises a question about your motives: why do you want everyone to do this weird drug people don’t know about and don’t have experience with, instead of the normal socially approved drugs that everyone understands? so a lot of trust already needs to exist for this

@QiaochuYuan So with your "they should make vibecamp but without alcohol" take, is the idea like - we should come predisposed to leave our weapons at the door? Like that should be a prerequisite already or something? Would love to hear you weave those ideas together
