I’ve come to really appreciate and admire how courageous my mom was, far from the victim I always perceived her as (and hated)

I’m realizing the same of my ex. She quit her job which took the same amount of courage it took me (a fuck ton). She was no damsel in distress (a positively charged way to say victim), she was courageous as shit

Which also helps reassure me and alleviate myself of the disproportionate responsibility/fault I’m inclined to put on myself for the breakup, and the role of my pressureing her into quitting with me
