the movement 𝘸𝘢𝘴 the voice the mind didn’t coordinate the actions; rather, there was a direct, mechanical link the movement pushed into the voice, or the voice led the movement; or perhaps a secret deep existential inhale opened both

at first, the link between me and my swing dancing partner was fiction; if she took a step out of turn, i would not actually be responding to her, i would be responding to my preconceived notion of what to happen

3rd week of acting class: our instructor said we shouldn’t just memorise our lines in order. that was no way to be in connection with the other actors. our line was a response to their line. if they said a line out of order, our body should too
