trying to lean into trusting myself to field whatever comes, that i can handle the conversation without trying to mentally pre map all the branches (i did write a little outline though, old habits die hard). but i actually do feel a pretty substantial amount of trust in myself

and also letting go of expectations. the conversation might not finish or even happen tonight. i have 2 months to have it. it might not be as big as i think it is. god knows i have a penchant for silver bullets.

But that's all OK - to want certain outcomes, to want it to solve all my problems ASAP, to feel anxiety about it, to still distrust myself/our communication
