a big part of luckmaxxing is you follow some heuristic as long as it's helpful, and then when you notice it's not working, you stop. and people are like "but i thought you said..." yea i said what i said but then the situation changed and i changed my mind

@visakanv taleb mentions that you should study "something old but not visibly useful (classics), something modern and useful" - interestingly, the former is a sort of knowledge that's general enough to not need to give up - IF you can use it properly

@visakanv it's definitely a sort of Lindy wisdom thing that lasts longer. like Cicero probably matters more than NFTs, and is less "useless information" and more "genuine knowledge". so maybe that's how I'd amend your tweet, to be more careful of information that pretends to be knowledge
