call it a cope but I don't love the frame of addiction applied to technology (phones, social media). in that frame, i am hopelessly addicted, of course. but for me, it’s more like this:

the coolest playground-library-school-workplace ever to exist in human history was invented, it's open 24/7, and I get to spend time there whenever I want, doing projects and learning and playing with really cool people from all over the world!

instead of asking "is <person / place / activity / thing> good or bad?" try asking "what is right relationship with this?"
