Ukrainians tearing away a flimsy russian cover that says "We're one people with russia", revealing the covered up billboard of a poem by Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko... Moments like this, drenched in symbolism, define the struggle. https://t.co/uxxwzUMcwh

From Кавказ https://t.co/VX9qjwZeCb And glory to you, dark-blue mountains, Frost and snow protect you; And to you, great-hearted heroes, God does not forget you. Struggle on - and be triumphant! God Himself will aid you; At your side fight truth and glory, Right and holy freedom

Something else that caught my eye about this video just now, note how someone tried to tear off the Shevchenko billboard before... Why bother tearing it off if you're gonna cover it up anyway? Hate. Hate for anything Ukrainian is the simple answer. https://t.co/a8h6LbmRjN

If this scene was in a movie or a book people would criticize it for being way too overtly obvious and literal "poetic justice". More important context on the poem here btw: https://t.co/yS2eUjo56H
