@micro_solid @this_is_silvia With my friends, I’ve also always been “good time guarantor” and felt personally responsible for people enjoying. I’ve been eager to let go of that responsibility. Maybe I just need to set the shared ownership expectations up front and let that filter people out at the start

@micro_solid @this_is_silvia I imagine payment is for modeling/embodying how to facilitate, showing what’s possible. Could be interesting to model facilitation of a gathering and play support for a corporate leader facilitating a follow up one?

@micro_solid @this_is_silvia I definitely feel like charging $ feels diff for clients vs friends (esp if they might rotate hosting responsibility). I've mused about this topic before https://t.co/QfECjI216J

Concrete question: I’ve previously done things that created value/trust, and now want to do a bunch more. Do I try to monetize them or do I stick to volunteer? How do I go about answering this question? Has anyone already answered it? Would it be a valuable research topic?

@micro_solid @this_is_silvia I think trust grows exponentially? If so, then at the network level, I wonder if it’s like social network business, where the longer financial profit is foregone, particularly on a per event basis, the the faster the network of trust can grow and create value.

@micro_solid @this_is_silvia Additional complication at the network level is that it feels like trust has (at least an initial) tendency to "pool". that is, when you build trust in a group, IME that group is typically more interested in "tribing up" than spreading the word... until... unknown point?

@micro_solid @this_is_silvia @visakanv if you get a chance I'll love your take on this. I think I'm navigating my way more towards your way of thinking: activating the scene with minimal structure/formality, thanks to you & jess & silvia
