@Conaw Question for you: what of metrics like the Confucian Zhōngyōng, the Buddhist samatā, or the Catholic Soli Deo gloria – are they more resistant to Goodhart’s Law? Can hypocritical censorious self-righteousness be spotted more easily when the whole aim is to find balance?
