@RichDecibels β¦ is compelling. Then I march If youβre talking generalised low-level freakout β I try to flip my attitude from save life to enjoy death. Playing music on the sinking titanic. Be loving and make it beautiful https://t.co/o8f6VbjfJo

@RichDecibels I don't. I hate it here. I just know that atleast unlike others around me I had the chance to catch a glimpse of what the future might be like and it is my duty to if anything else try to use this to the benefit of those around me.

@RichDecibels I have zero control of the future. What will be will be. I live in the wind, watching the movements of the vibes. I have no idea whatβs going to happen, so Iβm just gonna focus on whatβs on my plate and try to vibe super hard.

@RichDecibels We are collectively fixing the outer world by dismantling and rebuilding it (which is risking never returning from the chaos), but our inner worlds are actually pretty well constructed and collectively we have the ability to survive the institutional swap outs.

@RichDecibels -All beings are anti-fragile. We exercise muscles and then they get stronger. -I also think about how nature distributes nutrients (the mycellium) -Increased complexity to the degree we have now is nothing short of a miracle.

@RichDecibels I think it requires trust, and I think trust is built through experience not reasoning. I think hitchhiking is an amazing teacher, for trusting that things will work out, for relaxing cravings, for the importance of the best and worst ride, for general path dependence, etc

1/ SEEK GUIDANCE Seek guidance before chaos erupts Seek guidance before cluelessness prevail Seek guidance before despair sits in Seek guidance from the mothers, who want to raise their children in a peaceful and prosperous world https://t.co/PFYtqkCSz7

@RichDecibels what do people freak out about when thinking of the future? for me the future has always seemed like a better place, in fact I have to be careful not to abandon the present when thinking about the future because itβs so lovely in my mind

@RichDecibels in the future I have more power in the future I have more friends in the future I have better technology in the future I am wiser in the future Iβd have worked through more of my personal issues in the future there will be fewer of the βold guardβ left to cling on to old pain

@visakanv I'm choosing a place to live, have to factor likely temperature rise & rainfall changes, then start guessing at timeframes and wondering how different geopolitical regimes will manage mass migration and and and... easy to catastrophise from there

@m_ashcroft @RichDecibels my personal assumption here is that spending more than a couple of days thinking/predicting anything more than 6 months out is likely unhelpful, maybe worse than unhelpful, and it's better to instead be nimble and adaptable to change https://t.co/dGAg2icwEY

On planning: "You need to plan the way a fire department plans. It cannot anticipate where the next fire will be, so it has to shape an energetic and efficient team that is capable of responding to the unanticipated as well as to any ordinary event."

@m_ashcroft @RichDecibels so instead of like, trying to choose the best place in the world to live, i make friends with people all over the world, so that if I have to leave my home tonight, i can be received warmly at many different places
