I ate some 'movie theater butter' popcorn.I had to change my underwear later that day because I shat myself from farting. Turns out it had palm kernel oil in it.I hate you can't even buy something called "butter" and expect it to have butter in it.https://t.co/s9RSQX0NjO

May be common?"400 patients with UC undergoing treatment with aminosalicylates, we associated high dietary intake of specific fatty acids, including myristic acid (commonly found in palm oil, coconut oil and dairy fats) with an increased risk of flare."https://t.co/yoIaeWR11T

I'm used to eating 'homestyle' without much problems, but that variety is way less "buttery".I wonder if this is tied to my recent depressive spell and hypersomnia. Something to experiment with sometime when I don't have more pressing interests.https://t.co/SNgz6OQye8

I had a couple days of being slightly constipated and stuffy nose. Turned out a stir-fry a housemate made was loaded with palm oil.Immediately ate pork rinds (collagen => butyrate) and drank a bunch of tea. Fixed a half hour later.

A year ago I wouldn't have noticed anything wrong, but this time I felt intestinal pain from the fecal matter burning my insides, so I could do something about it.

Well, I should say the 30 minutes was stuffy nose to clear. It took a couple hours before the rest of it moved thru my system once the dog in my gut started barking. Taught him a new trick it seems :D https://t.co/Ji59ohrV4a

It was funny to me. I wanted teach borgi to speak, so I can listen. Now I am wondering if I can literally model my gut after a dog's in order to fix metabolic problems that drive immune system dysfunction.https://t.co/d2AtyQ40Yd

I had way less constipation with the fast I did in 2018 + keto with lots of olive oil and animal fat. But since the FMT trial, is a different experience entirely. Feels like I activated a sort of proprioception for my gut that I didn't have before.

Ooh, someone has been exploring myristic acid more directly. It seems it modulates gut microbiota in mice.Oddly this chemicals makes them better (w/ lipid disorders and NAFLD).Seems it is feeding (eaten by) anti-inflammatory species? https://t.co/VRhfsgpmS3

Myristicin & Myristic Acid seem to be different chemicals both named after nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) cuz that was where they were originally found.https://t.co/92LdtfPHiN

Friendly reminder that nutmeg is potentially deadly.https://t.co/vZV31AMBOjInterestingly, Myristicin is also found in parsley and dill. I eat a lot of that when given the chance (wonderful on eggs).https://t.co/b7c1b1p20C

"Myristic acid released from the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus affects pathogenicity of Candida albicans"https://t.co/EQcIPEWRqLThis smells like a complex regulatory pathway dependent on what species are existing in the gut.
