i never consider the impulse/self-thought valid: “i can’t do this [twitter/other] thing right now 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦” maybe it comes from a lifetime of ignoring the lies that “i never have time, i always have work”

so i just got used to pushing past those boundaries to have any fun at all https://t.co/5RIB95hoQm

this set up a terrible conflict within myself. while I was conscientiously trying to beat myself up to become a better person, there was another part of me that was utterly convinced that things would *never* get better, so "fun visa" would hide in the shadows, like a guerilla

i still can’t bring myself to believe “i don’t have time for this” but maybe it gently needs to go in hand with: “i do have time for this. there is literally nothing i am obligated to do in the future. i could wake up and decide to die”

@AskYatharth need to expand awareness to include the other things you want to do like remembering the later items in the buffet line when picking how much of the first thing to put on your plate what you actually want isn't "I don't have time" it's "it's not a priority"

@mikevardy in order to make time for one thing, you have to take time from everything else and at the end of your life, you will have made time for everything you actually did, taking up all the time that you lived (this is true at any age, ongoingly, too)
