I think it's worth taking the time to elaborate on "high trust + high openness scenes of exploration" I should probably start by pointing out that, first of all, the first dominos meme I made was "how things go bad" (L). "if we play our cards right" (R) was meant as a contrast https://t.co/SA4nGJHL51

that said, I do NOT mean that "high trust + high openness" is something that's INTRINSICALLY good, and that everyone should just magically trust everyone else and be super open with everyone else, or else like, "you're messing with the golden age, bro". fuck that. fuck. that.

the point is that we have to do a lot of work ("if we play our cards right") to get to the point where people trust each other, and feel comfortable and safe enough to be open with other. this takes work. this takes communication. this takes respecting one another's boundaries

i repeat: high-trust environments are aspirational states, but getting to them requires lots of communication. if we want it, we have to *earn* each other's trust. we can't simply demand it of each other. we can't assume we simply have it by talking *about* it. it takes work

anyway turns out i made more than 2 dominos memes that day lol https://t.co/23aQf6ZoKA
