My brain: “I’m judging every move I make 100% of the time.” No wonder it can be exhausting to be around me.

Maybe other people are not like that. But young neurotic types—there was intense introspection, intense comparison to a standard, evaluation for rightness, every second of being alive and awake. https://t.co/JfdHZzNciT

@CountJ0ecool THANK YOU FOR articulating this. “People don’t think about you as much as you do. They don’t think about you at all.” *meanwhile judging everyone in the room and myself a lot on everything they’re doing

Anyone who connects with me in intensity will feel that scrutiny. If not on them, then on me myself. No wonder it can be exhausting to connect with me.

I bring presence and connection every single moment. It can be a good thing, but it can be exhausting to be under so much scrutiny, especially for someone new to it, especially for a woman already under constant scrutiny.

Compare with connecting with someone who’s just vibing. Unconsciously chill, and they just . . . inspire a companionate simplicity.

There is a simplicity to being with them. There’s such a simple positive self-regard and a being of what one is. No second-order emotions. Or if they are, they are there directly. It’s refreshing and inviting in a neurotic world.

Neurotic = to have thoughts about thoughts. For it to not short-circuit. https://t.co/AepefKvS3E

What are second-order emotions? [inspired by convo with @coladaclan]

To connect is in many ways to co-entrain, and nervous systems to sync. They process what you process and so forth. You are literally simulating them as they simulate you. What they feel, you are touched by. https://t.co/I2XTZPslzB

Co-entrainment is rapidly becoming my organising principle for understanding human interactions.
