Thread exploring "piss hands"https://t.co/tjhGE5rHJS

Simon McCallum on Quora suggested it might be "Gilbert Syndrome"https://t.co/70oUDcwE4s

Gilbert syndrome is a mutation impacting Bilirubin function."confers significant health benefits [...] Many people never have symptoms."https://t.co/Qy3LhneflL

Bilirubin is the thing that makes pee very dark brown colored when you over exhert yourself or if you liver starts to fail at removing old blood. Found a good set of diagrams with colors here:https://t.co/bTKw1ImglP

The liver is the organ that removes old blood cells from circulation and plays a role in blood function in conjunction with bone marrow and spleen. That gilbert syndrome impacts a step in this process. https://t.co/VGiEvYkyTb

"Bilirubin is also part of bile, which your liver makes to help digest the food you eat."https://t.co/jdLpjxEuS9

I'm not sure if this Bilirubin thing is what would cause the foam rubber to stain yellow. It might be excreted in urine, but it doesn't seem to be excreted in sweat, even with jaundice. (kidneys put it into the urine) https://t.co/ynKddcF3JY

Another possibility is a kind of "chromhidrosis" (colored sweat)."Pseudochromhidrosis is a condition in which the excreted sweat is colorless, but later acquires color due to contact with chromogenic chemicals" https://t.co/OW1HBX69HP

Yellowing bad."things were going yellow and then they were just like oh there's just fucking gold in my reaction. no that makes fucking sense!Alchemy is trying to turn things yellow, and chemistry is trying to avoid things turning yellow."https://t.co/CcwR7Kf2ua https://t.co/WN5YeoOHAP
