This is niche, but know at least a dozen people who have gone this way. Example:Jewish/Christian upbringing >EA >Burnout/disillusionment >Monastic Academy/Dan Brown/Mark Lippmann/Evolving Ground/Tasshin >Discovery of fractal altruism

@TylerAlterman of course this reminds me of Peace Pilgrim, and her "entire peace picture": https://t.co/BMdp2lJBNX

@TylerAlterman looking for that quote, I also found this one, which hits hard this morning https://t.co/wyrqpwLeHE

and really the best way anybody can help is not even to think about me at all, but to focus on tending first to themselves, &then the people in their lives. help unblock each other, encourage each other to do whatever it is that lights up your eyes, makes you excited to be alive

@tasshinfogleman @TylerAlterman ooo. I would say fractal altruism is also basically the big picture FAN game https://t.co/QCM7vr3rzW

@TylerAlterman is Fractal Altruism a term you coined here? I haven't heard it elsewhere. Is there more writing about the idea? The gist of it as described here i've basically been on board with for some time, just always curious for more

@danielbrottman I can't remember if I came up with the term or @algekalipso did. Or maybe someone else? 🤷♂️I wrote very speculatively about it toward the end of this article: https://t.co/Ot52uIqZpb

@TylerAlterman @danielbrottman No doubt you did! I was too caught up worrying that the scale-specific network geometry of social interactions would make "fractal" a misleading term 😅 https://t.co/ujY58dh7T6

@TylerAlterman fractal altruism is a good term for this place in the pipeline i didn't know i was a part of https://t.co/WYaeFANjPw

@TylerAlterman also lol https://t.co/q8hYloxZtD
