the Arch of Titus was built in ~81 AD by his brother, Emperor Domitian Google Street View from ~2019 on the left from some angles you can look through it and see the Colosseum https://t.co/IrZqkVVDkG

This is an older painting by Canaletto, in 1742 you may notice the arch seems to be in worse condition than in later paintings – this is because Pope Pius VII got Giuseppe Valadier to restore it in 1821 https://t.co/FdQqEa6z66
