Many people try to subtitute love from others with self-love or substitute self-love with love from others. It doesn’t work.

“Love from others” and “love from self” are different dimensions. We know this, because know what it’s like to experience - lots of love from others, but still lonely, and sad; mean to ourselves - feeling a ton of self-compassion & gratitude even among loneliness

Self-love inspires love from others, and love from others inspires self-love. It doesn’t mean they substitute for each other.
