gods are literally egregores in the sense that you wouldn’t know about Krishna or Kali if no one told you about them you might dream up or witness your own godly entity, and it might rhyme with other cultures’ gods
and the more you speak with others who speak of Krishna, the more you interact with what you call Krishna, the more reality Krishna takes on for you movement makes Krisha real, just as Merleau-Ponty would said movement through the world makes it real to you
that is not to say the world doesn’t exist! or that you are making it up willy-nilly as you make through the world, the reality of the tree is made real real you you bump into the corners of reality and have it take shape
you make Krishna real to you, even though it could be said Krishna was already real in the moment he was communicated to you gods are real, and they are not "simply" the ideas told to you they are reflections of the entire reality that supported their coming into being
gods are made up, but so is the vision of the tree i had in my head made up i could be hallucinating, or it could be blurry it may turn out my image of the tree is supported by actually moving forward and knocking on the tree and finding something solid
