5. coherence therapy. this is both a style of therapy and also a sort of metatherapy that encompasses and explains how other therapies work. i often use it as a conceptual framework and sometimes use some of its moves directly. great nerd bait https://t.co/T4fyUCMDqz

6. LSD. i don't have a resource to link but i figured i might as well be up front about it. taking acid made me feel like i was alive again after having been dead for years. i chased that feeling towards many other good things, incl. the other things on this list

@QiaochuYuan i'd maybe add alexander technique here. it's less "therapy"-y than the other stuff on this list but it often has similar benefits i think

@QiaochuYuan ah and there is also the various energy work / body work / reiki etc modalities, which i have not personally explored but which i believe to be potentially very good, *given you can find the right person* (i haven't seen anyone for this stuff bc i don't know how to vet them yet)

@rothosphere yeah i'm more hesitant to recommend this sort of thing publicly for safety reasons, and sort of hopeful given warnings i've read from @meditationstuff that you can sort of sidestep it until you can do it for yourself if necessary?

@QiaochuYuan I've been celebrating avuncular (uncle-ish) dudes lately like @visakanv & @VividVoid_ and when I was high last week it clicked that what I think of as an ideal uncle is my model of an ideal parent. so good to realise I already have a highly developed model for this

@QiaochuYuan the only other ones I know not on this list is existential kink and clown school (Pochinko mask method + Grotowski stuff) actually if you want to know more about grotowski the movie "my dinner with andre" is literally just 2 people at a restaurant having a conversation about it
