i don’t remember if i told you guys this but the medium dose of acid thread led directly to one of my mutuals paying off their student loans, getting their first job, and escaping their abusive parents, which is probably the best thing that’s ever happened because of my tweets

iirc they said it was freeing to see someone else publicly wrestling with having complicated feelings about money, and it helped them approach their own complicated feelings about money, which is exactly the kind of thing i want my writing to do 🥲

turns out you can keep someone stuck having a problem forever by denying them permission to have it and conversely, you can help someone get unstuck by giving them permission to have the problems they in fact have
