weirdly, simply wishing metta on the universe is great too; the causality just flows in more illegible and distant ways (gosh knows what lies beyond conventional causality, but we won’t talk about that)

Success with the heart does not excuse failure in samsara. Success with samsara does not excuse failure of the heart. Nothing excuses the other. Nothing needs to be excused.
