somethings in your head are symbolic entities that you can report on with language, and if you arrange them correctly, and only wiggle them in specific ways, they can be "about" stuff in the world, and make accurate far reaching predictions

and because these symbolic entities are *symbolic*/*representational* they are subject to whatever forces tug on them, which are different forces what what tugs on the referents

some "beliefs" are more world-modeling anticipation like things, and some "beliefs" are more "commitment to a certain course of action" my religious faith growing up was 0% world-model, 100% commitment to certain actions
