after agonizing for months I just took 20 minutes to (after making a copy first, of course) cut ~130 out of ~150 pages I will now reorient & realign the remaining 20 pages into something that really clicks (I already have it in my heart) then ~70 fresh pages should flow easily
it was the right thing to do I had to do many many many different starts to get a map of most of the whole territory but all the starts overlapping each other made it stiff and overwrought had to cut that gordian knot I need to work backwards now I can see the end it's clear
