a thing I believe strongly in is the power of using your own words you don’t actually have to use the vocabulary everyone else is using and I’m not saying invent unused words, or use really obscure and esoteric ones but rather just, describe things in your own words

it’s one of those things that can seem very small and insignificant moment to moment, but it really adds up to something tremendously different. I think of it like the psychological equivalent of nutrition, exercise, sleep always be thesaurus-ing

“Visa wtf is thesaurus-ing” I mean, always be looking up synonyms for words to see if any of the other words has a flavor or a vibe that you find preferable simply using a different word can nudge you (and whoever you’re talking to) to pause and think about what yall mean https://t.co/eRYZeZoa4m

as you get better at clarifying your thinking, you can do increasingly ambitious things with your thoughts. (Which, ideally, are intertwined with your actual life, so your thoughts can facilitate the restructuring of your reality. Word magic!) https://t.co/KFKihtPY1E

simple + clear thinking is robust construction material. you can build much bigger and more powerful lattices from it. you can interface with other people's thinking more easily. it takes a bit of extra effort at the start, but the upside over the long-term is tremendous https://t.co/OfogA9CrOp

found an example of what I mean the reply was a valuable implicit challenge to restate the point, which I’m honestly grateful for https://t.co/iaVKo08HV3
