Desperation is when ignore obvious intuitions. That’s what makes so dangerous. https://t.co/LQHyG7nMUY

@liminal_warmth It feels strange you should have to say this, but then there’s other obvious stuff I’ve found useful. I suppose the biggest danger is desperation. When we feel tight—desperate—is when there is most cause for fear. That’s when “obvious” things can get most ignored.

"what gets measured gets massaged" yet but what gets subtly ignored come rearing back with a thousand heads https://t.co/hvSkTUnyEb

what’s going is a part that is feeling scarcity is trying to sneak something past you needless to say, this is bad mental architecture design https://t.co/HLn6YNv4Fd

it’s feeling scarcity, because you really are feeling scarcity about something. something doesn’t feel enough. something bad will happen if we don't accomplish this—we MUST have this we can’t imagine our lives so much without it (this is the mini-death) https://t.co/GUKbbusTJN

you have to sort of sideways acknowledge that part and confirm at it—that it can continue doing whatever it wants to, because otherwise, it would sneak past you anyway https://t.co/UFSnNrXC0a

all this is usually accompanied by a signature feeling of urgency https://t.co/e5RHl6rwq9
