Material success and spiritual development do not substitute for each other.

There’s people trying to fill a vague sense of spiritual dissatisfaction with more and more friends, and money, and competence. It doesn’t work. It’s not the right dimension.

Other people try to escape the material world by engaging with spirituality. But they cannot escape it. They are still incompetent at samsara. They still need to deal with that fact. The spiritual stuff is its own reward. https://t.co/KyxZXsT7b9

I do not get samsaric competence points for my emotional work. The emotional rewards are themselves the point. Samsaric competence is still left to find.

One can inspire the other. But seeing them as two, fundamentally different, non-substitutable dimensions can help reduce drama. https://t.co/0vYWVWF4Na

Self-love inspires love from others, and love from others inspires self-love. It doesn’t mean they substitute for each other.

The drama is a plea to show your authority figures you ARE doing something. Can’t they see?? Gosh, I get chills writing this, feeling into the truth of how I still do this to this day. https://t.co/DXF3Itu7tX
