@selentelechia everyone operates from a place of fundamental sincerity, but the gap between that fundamental sincerity and expressed behaviour is smaller with less-cognitively layered babbies

There is a fundamental sincerity to each action. Each action points to something they really thought they should be doing. Even when they are being duplicitous, the intention behind their intention cannot help be sincere.

It’s like truth. People can’t help telling the truth, in that they told you they just said that, whatever they did. People can’t help being sincere in that they really did sincerely do whatever it is they did, even if it was insincere. https://t.co/r6F3O36kJN

Everything anyone ever says is true in the sense that it points to what made the person say it. That’s true. It might make you update too. [If not in the way the person wanted you to.]

Sincerity is vulnerable. Sincerity is innocence. Sincerity is saying, “I really do hope an action goes a certain way,” and doing it.
