I love that it works both ways. 1. When you’re feeling sad, and listen to a happy song to disengage and connect with happiness. 2. When you’re feeling sad, and listen to a sad song to have it make sense and feel spacious and happy.

I’d guess normies lean toward (1) and neurotic nerds towards (2). Normies = lighter, focused on others, not so concerned with coercion Neurotics = response to own thoughts is a big deal i.e. (1) vs (2) is how important it feels to take your thoughts seriously

Before listening to a sad song: I feel a bit sad, stuck . . . like I’m crazy, there’s so much sad in the world, how can no one else see. While listening to song: The sadness is out there, it’s the background, immediately connected to spaciousness and noticing everything else.
