Feels like Iāve been growing out of āparticipating in a communityā (the postrat scene) to being my own nexus across many. https://t.co/yHWJfKGhjU https://t.co/DTuOfTSEfj

In the beginning, there was the desperation, of wanting my needs met, and seeing which communities had resources āinā it I could use. Thatās why I drew the š in there. Iām on the outside, looking in. https://t.co/oHgvkrE5YY

Now, I feel more āinā myself. I extend tendrils out to the postrat community still, but there is a place called āhereā that is Yatharth that now exists. I sunk roots, and found myself. https://t.co/ydr21kpz1g

The postrats were absolutely instrumental to it, and I donāt think I did anything wrong. I did have to explore. I did have to seek existing resources rather than fashion my own. I didnāt have the tools, know, or heart then; I do now.

a tribute to the community that felt for so many of us weird & settled in a way consonant to our inner nature https://t.co/8GWhlIQgLo

When people play the right notes, it draws consonant parts out of you. You then have a rich & new musical vocabulary to riff with. You can continue making mistakes, or harmonising, or nuancing. The postrats brought a lot of consonant, dormant parts out of us. šµš¶š¼

Asserting autonomy often involves breaking boundaries. Not because where you were was bad . . . . . . just to breathe. You might still stay in essentially the same place, but itās different now. Thereās room for growth šŗ https://t.co/i5UqocPPHz

Sovereignty is the search for room to breathe. I canāt find it, but Visa had thread where artists break the rules, not because they are bad, and only to come back to them, but breaking still mattered. https://t.co/EmNaZzrZnl

This desire, by the way, is how kids end up with bad company. Charming manipulators know how to appeal to a childās desire for independence, desire to be seen. This is why kids date bad boys and get hideous tattoos. To exercise their *sovereignty*. https://t.co/2Hj2NkjA3R
