ha I used to work at Shangri La Hotel as banquet staff, and one of my most interesting days was being a server at a meeting between Rolls Royce & Boeing leadership. For some reason they ordered really expensive chocolate (maybe part of a package idk) and hardly touched it https://t.co/zYadt5jUfO

also at some point I was sent to collect a plaque/memento/trophy that I think RR was presenting to Boeing and it was in a box and incredibly heavy. Turned out to be an engine part? Which was actually cool as hell

other fun Shangri la stories… on one of my first days I was serving at… some kind of wine auction? For really rich people? They got kd lang to perform, so I got to witness a free kd lang showcase irl
