@Malcolm_Ocean In that scene, Marlo's cold-blooded provocation is to make a point that the guard will doggedly resist ever getting. Because he tragically and naively wants it to be one way (where there is such a thing as fair), but it's the other way (chaotic evil).
@Malcolm_Ocean Generalizing - one might find themselves earnestly insisting upon how things ought to be, what someone ought to accept about how reality is configured. But such pronouncements can, on occasion, fall flat for whom none of that matters; only radical freedom and sovereignty does.
