Imagine writing a book on the evolution of social structure among land whales and not even bothering to explore the evolution of their penis.https://t.co/X1cxju3u4C https://t.co/sufeFLry98

Imagine writing a book that includes concepts related to elephant social structure and not even watching them long enough to observe they have a prehensile penis.https://t.co/Ax7SitzBZo

@sonyasupposedly Strikes me that elephants (whales + others) have more than enough social ritual to be able to develop religious sentiment and pass on cultural stories & myths thru generations. I think people mistake this ability & argue on if they have soul or not. Worth separating ideas out.

They're an interesting account, for sure, but I feel like they are just harvesting content to get views at this point. I think they got jaded on twitter while back https://t.co/xlcJWj6OMy

I was listening to the radio a couple days ago. Someone was talking about the suction power of an elephant trunk.I, For One, Welcome Our New Tentacle Inspired Soft Robot Overlords built to delicately handle grabbing nuts. https://t.co/hykEAfaweg

What does the elephant say?https://t.co/glBtxyaC4U

I am disappointed the military isn't looking at whale penises for inspiration for soft robotics.https://t.co/chQor3sP0d

Technically speaking, being inspired by octopus arms implies they are researching how an animal's penis works.https://t.co/zb5tC6noSU

But I don't think that is really the same thing as comparative anatomy of whale & elephant prehensility.https://t.co/PTC5QPYiIZ

"The elephant's penis is not only massive but prehensile. As we watched in baffled amusement (and the faintest tinge of inadequacy), he used his penis to prop himself up (as in the photo)"https://t.co/NDkWulnD2ihttps://t.co/qQ51xSLO3y
