A lot of what people call β€˜the hedonic treadmill’ is people not really understanding what they want, getting the thing they went after, and adapting to the recognition that β€˜this ain’t it’ without solving the confusion that mis-aimed them in the first place

@michaelcurzi There is research that says that after you make (I think) $75k/year it doesn’t make you happier And I always think about @vgr (I think) observing that this is only because the average person does not know how to spend the incremental money to increase happiness
