A lot of what people call βthe hedonic treadmillβ is people not really understanding what they want, getting the thing they went after, and adapting to the recognition that βthis ainβt itβ without solving the confusion that mis-aimed them in the first place

@michaelcurzi There is research that says that after you make (I think) $75k/year it doesnβt make you happier And I always think about @vgr (I think) observing that this is only because the average person does not know how to spend the incremental money to increase happiness
