Had a friend who calls his grandmother at a memory care facility every month. She will never remember he called, but he values it anyway.

No one will ever know my story. Not how I do. As I look around, I’m struck by how the only reference point is me, me, me. I can’t please anyone else. No one else gives as much of a shit or spends as much time in my brain. Can I take being not Known?
