There’s something insane about spatial awareness — Gendlin’s Focusing, Alexander Technique, tantric emotional meditation, each of them seem to work by finding a frame of reference that contains the felt sense and thus is bigger than it, allowing the felt sense to be made object. https://t.co/l98YNwJdXC

Just that finding of the frame seems to allow our mental processes to cognate and resolve and let what needs to happen happen. It’s only when we’re stuck “inside” the felt sense that we’re stuck—our other mental processes can’t communicate or engage.

Awareness and attention mediate resolution. Everyone in psychoanalytic history ever has always emphasised conscious integration — bringing into consciousness. I’ve always wondered why. This is why. https://t.co/ftAyRLH207

Bringing mental processes into conscious awareness allows other processes to examine and communicate. It frees the mind from a bunch of 9yos trying to turn the car every what way and puts them in a room together and makes them stare eyes till they get it https://t.co/XFfCG5fNuw

@chrismlizama @nosilverv . . . to a silent telepathic connection where the executive looks & “feels into” each board member and groks their perspective and why they had it, and with this silent, bird’s-eye view, too much to properly articulate, a certain feeling arises about what to do, and that is done

Maybe it’s no surprise bodily comfort — given how much thinking is reflected in musculature and vice versa — figures so much. Maybe it’s no surprise sensation — the ultimate low-level semantically-neutral exciter of free energy — figures so much.

Maybe it’s no surprise spatial awareness — one of the most primitive and important kinds of awareness — figures so much. I wonder what other forms of awareness — like my temporal awareness practise — can be brought to create a bigger frame. https://t.co/LVIOX1vbGn

Felt reality is all constructed inside the mind anyway. The ocean waves, the feeling of me, all of it in the mind. I’m laughing, because it’s more clear now how the “self” is just a boundary drawn out in this felt universe.

Sometimes being inside this concept of self gets me stuck and hurts me. It’s nice to get unstuck. It was never about losing default mode network activation or anything permanent. Just about optionality. Get stuck one way, wiggle another. https://t.co/tjxufh9n7q
