i heard that trying things out is one one of the way but then how do you "process" the things that you've tried? is there a limit on how many things you should try? how deep should i dip my toes into "something" before i can tell that "it's not for me"

where should one's journey toward a coherent aesthetic identity start? is there an introspective process that is required before one start or is it just a matter of trying things out? is there any prerequisite in crafting said aesthetic?

this article currently resonates the most with me. after the end of the semester i've been doing nocturnal days (like rn it's 2:33am) and starting that with some sort of drink in a thermos have tried tea, now i'm mostly doing cocoa https://t.co/oIVrTRCyKO

maybe i can expand it from this ritual? start trying out different cocoa's and milk to infuse into this specific ritual. hmm might be an interesting start.

another way i could try to cultivate something could be through the space i spend most of my time in currently. i'm hesistant on doing anything to it since it's temporary (hopefully gonna go back to Jakarta once the pandemic ends), but idk when i'm moving out.

@uberstuber Make top 10 lists of everything you love and everything you hate and argue with yourself about why. And make stuff https://t.co/Rc18XokTfD

@nobu_hibiki Let yourself sit in boredom for long enough, you will both find it impossible to be bored and grow your taste.

@forshaper hmm... wouldn't that lead to the lowest denominator though since i'll be doing just the easy stuff?

@nobu_hibiki The easy stuff becomes very hard, the more taste you "have". Ie, you might wake up one day and have a hankering for a specific chocolate, but no other chocolate will assuage that desire than -that- chocolate. And so on.

@nobu_hibiki And the next thing you know you will be forced to -make- the chocolate because no one else has made it yet.
