okay i meant to do this yesterday but i really wanna talk about this little song that some of you might know. it's Yoasobi - 夜に駆ける (Yoru ni Kakeru) https://t.co/XdAbDMb7mF

also known as that popular anime song, Yoru ni Kakeru or Racing into the Night is a the first song by Yoasobi, a japanese music duo consisting of vocaloid music producer Ayase and vocalist Ikura. and the song is a massive BOP https://t.co/0SNJ5GTUoL

it is based of a japanese short story called Thanatos no Yūwaku or "Seduction of Thanatos written by Mayo Hoshino, and the song is from my understanding about like death or something. idk i didnt pay much attention to the lyrics because the music KILLS

there is a sorta nostalgic feeling mixed with some extremely well done production value that made this song just that much 👌👌👌👌 it captured that mid 2010's feeling of anime without sounding old, like a modern vocaloid song. https://t.co/xfr2aqBCJM

to some extent i guess that could be attributed to the producers background creating music for Vocaloid, a voice synthesizer popularized by hatsune miku but the song's modern edge is definitely carried by the beautiful voice of the vocalist Ikura https://t.co/9aq8HGh3fk

my first introduction to yaosobi was a remix of saykoji's online and this which was bonkers because it somehow worked??? and then i got hooked on the actual song and have been listening ever since. https://t.co/7MEN2uSMgL

also it's like tiktok famous which was one of the reason for its meteoric rise. as a newbie in the world of tiktok it's really interesting to see how it shapes the internet culture. https://t.co/bMWGlhmA9j
