At this point sometimes people will say things like “haha I want a billion dollars” but that’s not quite how it works. I’ll be honest: I don’t entirely understand how it works. But I think part of it is that part of you has to earnestly, sincerely believe it, in a “grounded” way
@visakanv I think the trick is that you have to believe it in such a nonchalant way that almost like it's a memory. Oh yeah remember that time I made a billion dollars? Yeah it was fun, then we got ice cream, cool day. At that level some freaky shit happens.
@visakanv Roughly I think you get what you wish for fervently enough to completely restructure your life in order to get. You don't actually have to do the restructuring your life yourself, that just happens as a result of the wish, but you do have to be willing to do it.
@visakanv I think there are a bunch of things you can do to move the dial on that beyond privilege and intelligence (both of which matter a lot of course) but most people get stuck in what's closer to a local want-optimum, but yeah basically.
