What if all my background anxiety came from a coherent sense of where my life is doesn’t match what I want?

Noticing really drove this home for me, as it did for Jasna. https://t.co/fJOgopvsDz

What this changes for me is . . . I get it. It makes sense. I allow for the faint anxiety now. I’m less likely to ignore it, and more likely to notice it. I’m not suffering about the fact I might suffering.

Concerned about it, noticing threads of time where I don’t experience it, but not really scratching my nails about it anymore. https://t.co/q5ZDX2ems5

I think I used to have an implicit model of “accumulating suffering,” like the fact I was sad was actively dropping my happy score. Realising time was fake really broke this for me.

In a single moment, I can experience months of joy. Time does not add linearly. That is a strangely impoverished conception. Just as the idea that two bites of the dessert are better than one. https://t.co/W9KcdsKiiJ https://t.co/MHPgmh0vbE

Woah. Something about Jasna’s phrasing, “learning to not accumulate.” Sounds like something @HanjoYoutaku would say and I wouldn’t otherwise grok. https://t.co/W6mxU723Uu
