King Gnu is a Japanese band formed in 2013, and 白日 is part of their 2020 album "Ceremony". Seems like a cool bunch with interesting visual styles. And my god is the song good. https://t.co/I06JUWHPVY
i like j-pop, and i like j-rocks. i like soft music, and i like hard music. i like the electric guitar, i like a feeling of retro. i like my music to feel like a story. this song ticks almost all the box for things that i look for in music.
the song starts of slowly with what I assume to be Satoru Iguchi's (Vocalist & Keyboardist) voice pulling us in with his soft breathy singing accompanied with a piano, slowly ramping us up with more instrument. before the beat starts bopping at 1:11.
one of my favorite part probably is that "ooooohhh~" over at around 1:38 transitioning the song from the high octane high energy sounds back to the smooth sound of the start. it feels like such a nice landing like ooooh~
and then there's the beautiful guitar riff from around 2:49 to 3:10 that just fills me back with memories back to 2012 me listening to Len's Migikata no Chou, sitting in the park next to Monas. https://t.co/AgMdeEBvty
