The Carp thing is using the Twitter "Conversational Ads" Card https://t.co/MNj18eDqhc A card attachment to a tweet can be modified later by the card owner, in Media Studio https://t.co/4VOWQftWEp so any tweet with a card is edited too. https://t.co/a5bHOrBMXY

This is an interesting way to spread things - It means someone can start with one thing, everyone will post it, and then switch out the card and make it something else entirely, effectively editing everyone's tweets.

To see if a tweet has a card attachment, you can use the API and add include_card_uri=true to /1.1/statuses/show like this: twurl "/1.1/statuses/show/1340118218330005506.json?include_card_uri=true"
