This is why I so appreciate Coherence Therapy, because it makes clear: If your system feels its in danger, it is in danger—period. That’s it. https://t.co/3LaIdlubnU

Even if the alarm system is off, and there’s not actually a lion in the bushes, the fact that the alarm went off means that my system might go into an unstable state if I take the dangerous-feeling action anyway. That’s what it means that the danger is not up for debate.

When you feel danger, you’re in danger. That’s it. Your system already has a knowing about this. Your system is always taking action to protect you from a worse suffering. https://t.co/EdpfpRzMg3

The Emotional TRUTH of the situation. The KNOWING of my dissonance. The ALREADY EXISTING nature of my feelings. The bringing to light the POSITION I am already in, conscious or not. The disgusting FELT EXPERIENCE of the world even if it doesn’t feel right. All these make me.

This DOES NOT mean you shouldn’t go ahead and do the dangerous feeling action anyway. But you /were/ correctly perceiving the danger. You’ve just decided you have enough resources now to be ok despite it. https://t.co/vnac791qzK

It’s different than FORCING myself to move. That’s DISRESPECTING my head. Instead, my system recognises my head is jammed and incapable of guidance in this movement, so I switch to a different compass, that I have built TRUST in over time in incremental ways.

I often go ahead despite feeling an action is scary and dangerous. https://t.co/KWkyMnorxQ

There’s a certain instinctive self-trust I’ve been building of “oh, if my system feels X, well, there must be something to that.” I don't need to /wait/ till I have a reason to acknowledge the reality of my feeling, or respect its coherence. https://t.co/a02Zf1h9VK

broke: 9-tweet thread that didn’t communicate my point to anyone and got ratio’ed woke: single tweet summary that captures the point simply and powerfully https://t.co/ZnmTjCCtmJ

I may have been too ambitious in trying to convey this right now. I’ve not made it clear why this was an important and truthful insight for me. I’ll try again in 3 weeks. https://t.co/RFnvGn8R98

Here’s a metaphor from @kureshii https://t.co/4p1cM4ZhNS

Your system matters. https://t.co/MD7UAB8J98

There’s a trigger-happy, easily-changed reasoning part of your mind, and a slower-changing, more intuitive wealth of knowing and discernment This is how it’s meant to be. For the first to get impatient that the latter isn‘t “catching up” is missing the point.
