A lot of my ‘problems’ are just 🤕 “Doctor, doctor, I put the plaster on my knee YESTERDAY, and it’s still not fixed. What do I do??” 👨⚕️ “Uhh it takes time, you’ll need like 3 mo. Don’t stop what you’re doing” 🤕 “It’s not working!!” 👨⚕️ “It is, just keep doing it for 3 more mo”

n.b.: the kind response here is not to insist “just wait!” — they’re not in a place to receive that, they want to do 🤷♂️⏳😕 it’s to give them something easy & useful to do in the meantime, that’s adjacent and they can do, and they can see results from 👨🌾🐣🌿

Something like: 👨⚕️ “Here, take this book on Gendling’s focusing. Try massaging your knee for half an hour every day and noticing what you feel. Work through the entire book” Lil’ kid me would totally have taken it up, and been so excited for it too, and felt awesome about it ✨

It wouldn’t have speeded up the healing process, but it would have taught me something worthwhile, and helped me feel awesome along the way By the time my knee got healed, subjectively, it would have been no time at all 👦 “Hey! I was still working on focusing! Aw maan”
